HSBC APPOINTS NEW HEAD
FOR TRADE AND SUPPLY CHAIN IN MALAYSIA
Ng Wei Wei has been appointed as the new Head of Trade and Supply Chain (TSC) for HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad with immediate effect.
Prior to this new role, Wei Wei was Regional Director for Commercial Banking in the Northern Region of Malaysia, where she was responsible for building a very successful Middle Market and Business Banking franchise within the Region. She has previously held several other positions in Malaysia including Senior Vice President of Malaysian & Multinational Corporates dealing with the large local corporate relationships; and Vice President, Head of Product Management for Global Payments and Cash Management, a role she took on when she first joined HSBC Bank Malaysia in June 2006.
Simon Constantinides, Regional Head of Trade and Supply Chain, Asia Pacific (excluding Greater China), highlighted the importance of such strategic appointments stating, "The appointment of commercially experienced and senior executives supports our continued focus and commitment to developing our business in Malaysia – one of Asia’s most dynamic market. Wei Wei brings to her new role a wealth of corporate banking experience and will be instrumental in executing our growth strategy in the country."
