Writing a will is a religious obligation on all Muslims. If they fail to do so, they have all reason to fear that their estate/ treasure may not be distributed in accordance with the Islamic laws. As a result, many followers of Islam have yet to take advantage of the comprehensive benefits of having a Will and appointing a professional executor to administer their estates.

In fact, Muslims can make their own Wills. They are only prohibited from making a Will which attempts to change the respective shares of their heirs which have been fixed by Fara'id.

Muslims can also make a Will to dispose of up to one third of their assets in ways they prefer –donations to charities and bequests to friends or relatives who will not be their heirs under Fara'id.

GWS will be named as the executor of your Will. Upon death, the executor will coordinate with your family and attend to incidental arrangements for protecting and distributing your estate, after settling all debts and liabilities, zakat and completing all legal formalities, in accordance with your Will.
