The benefits of this plan may be used for your family or business in the event of death or Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) resulting from natural or accidental causes*. You may also reap the potential savings or maturity benefits. * Please refer to list of exclusions below
This plan provides the following benefits: a) Death Benefits In the event of untimely death, the beneficiaries would receive the Sum Covered plus the accumulated amount in the Participant Fund (if any) in one lump sum. b) Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) Benefit** Should TPD occur before the Covered Person reaches the age of 65, the Sum Covered plus the amount in the Participant Fund (if any) would be paid. c) Maturity Benefit Your Participant Fund value shall be paid out upon maturity provided your Certificate is in force. However, there will no amount paid from the Family Risk Fund. d) Flexibility of payment and Certificate Tenure You can opt to pay the contribution on the monthly, quarterly, half- yearly or yearly basis. You can also select a coverage term of 10 to 35 years, according to your financial and protection needs. e) Surplus Sharing (if any) Any surplus arising from the Family Risk Fund will be shared on a 50/50 basis between the Takaful Operator and the Participants. Your entitlement of surplus will be allocated into your Participant Fund. f) Scheduled income payment One of the special features of this plan is, after maintaining it for 10 years, you may request for scheduled payments from your Participant Fund. You have a choice to select the amount to be paid and/or the payment schedule on monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or yearly basis, subject to maintaining a minimum balance+ in your account. g) Payor coverage If you are taking coverage for your child, you are required to add either; • A Payor Rider, which provides relief from paying the future contributions in the event the Payor dies or suffers from TPD or • A Payor Plus Rider, which provides relief from paying the future contributions in the event the Payor dies or suffers from TPD or is diagnosed with any of the covered critical illnesses. The additional monthly Tabbaru’ (donation) for the additional cover will be deducted from your Participant Fund. Note: ** Sum Covered for TPD is payable in 2 instalments + The minimum fund balance shall be equal to the sum of monthly service fee and monthly Tabbaru’ fee for the remaining tenure.

Death benefit will not be payable if death is due to suicide whether whilst sane or insane, within 12 months from the Issued Date of this Certificate. TPD Benefit will not be payable in respect of any condition/injury/event which is directly or indirectly caused by attempted suicide, self-inflicted injury or illness, military service, criminal acts, private aviation activities, alcohol or substance abuse and hazardous activities such as but not limited to racing, mountaineering, and etc. Critical Illnesses Benefit (applicable for Payor Plus Rider only) will not be payable due to: - Pre existing conditions^ - Any condition, injury, event, illnesses which is directly or indirectly caused due to attempted suicide, military service, criminal acts, private aviation activities, alcohol or substance abuse and hazardous activities such as, but not limited to racing, mountaineering and the like. ^Any condition, disease, injury, illnesses or event if there was manifestation, diagnosis or treatment of such condition, disease, illness or injury before the issue date of the Certificate or the reinstatement date of the Certificate. Please note that the list of exclusions is not exhaustive and reference should be made to the comprehensive list contained in the Certificate.
