Introducing Apple Pay: your iPhone is now your HSBC card
Apple Pay is a safe, contactless, easy way to pay. Enjoy all the benefits of your HSBC credit cards with Apple Pay on your Apple devices. With Apple Pay, your purchases remain private, and every transaction is secure. All transactions require FaceID, TouchID or your passcode on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac and a double click on your Apple Watch. Your card number is also never stored on your device or Apple servers.

- Easy.Paying is easy from any Apple Device. With Apple Pay, you will not be required to enter a PIN for contactless transactions over RM250 because it is replaced with Face ID or Touch ID at any amount.
Add your HSBC credit card, just like that
Adding your credit card to your Apple Wallet is simple. Here's how to get started on your iPhone.
Step 1: Open your Apple Wallet and tap the plus (+) icon to add a new payment card. You can enter your card details manually or tap your card on the back of your phone and follow the instructions. Read and accept the Apple Wallet terms and conditions.
Step 2: Select HSBC Malaysia Mobile Banking app as your card verification method. If this option isn’t available, contact us to complete your card verification.
If you’re a supplementary cardholder, the primary cardholder must approve the addition of the card to Apple Wallet as well as verification of the card. The primary cardholder will need to call us to complete the verification. Once this is done, proceed to step 4.
Step 3: If you are a primary cardholder adding your card to your Apple Wallet, you must log on to the HSBC Malaysia app using your biometrics or PIN. Select the credit card/-i you’d like to add to your Apple Wallet.
Step 4: Once your credit card/-i has been verified and added to Apple Wallet, you’ll see a green tick.
On Apple Watch:
Open Apple 'Wallet' app on your Apple Watch, tap 'Add Card' to get started.
On iPad or Mac:
On your iPad or Mac, look for 'Wallet & Apple Pay' in your System Preferences to get started.
Pay with just a tap
On iPhone with Face ID:
Step 1:
Double click the side button.
Step 2:
Glance at your screen.
Step 3:
Hold your iPhone near the card reader.
Step 4:
Wait for the 'Done' checkmark and you're done!
On iPhone via Touch ID:
Step 1:
Rest your finger on the 'Touch ID'.
Step 2:
Hold your iPhone near the card reader.
Step 3:
Wait for the 'Done' checkmark and you're done!
With Apple Watch:
Just double click the side button, then hold your device near the reader to finish your purchase.
With iPad or MacBook Pro with Touch ID:
When purchasing online or in-app, tap the Apple Pay button, confirm your billing and shipping information, then authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode.

Security tips and things you should know
- You will receive notifications once your cards have been successfully added to your Apple Wallet. If you didn't request this, please call us immediately.
- Keep your device with you and under your control at all times. If your device allows it, switch off NFC when you’re not using it. If your device is lost or stolen, call us immediately using the number on the back of your HSBC/HSBC Amanah credit card/-i so we can disable the token on that device.
- Don’t let anyone else unlock your device, and don’t save anyone else’s fingerprint/Face ID or other biometric details on it.
- Use a strong passcode (avoid easy-to-guess numbers) and change it regularly.
- Remove your registered credit card/-i from Apple Wallet before sending your device for servicing or repair, and before selling or giving it away.
- Only use Apple Wallet on devices with genuine, authorised software. Don’t use it on devices that are jailbroken or rooted or running pirated, hacked or unauthorised apps.
- Make sure your HSBC/HSBC Amanah credit card/-i is activated before adding it to your Apple Wallet.
- You can remove your card at any time: on iPhone, tap the card, select 'More', then 'Remove'; on Apple Watch, scroll down and select 'Remove'.
