What is Cash Instalment Plan?

Cash Instalment Plan allows HSBC/HSBC Amanah principal credit cardholders to convert their available credit limit into instant cash, and repay at affordable monthly instalments.

Who is eligible for Cash Instalment Plan?

HSBC/HSBC Amanah principal credit cardholders whose cards are in good credit standing and are not in default or in breach of cardholder agreement are eligible for Cash Instalment Plan.

How can I apply for Cash Instalment Plan?

You can apply for Cash Instalment Plan via HSBC Malaysia Mobile Banking app or reach us through HSBC contact centre.

What is the minimum and maximum amount of Cash Instalment Plan amount I can apply?

The minimum Cash Instalment Plan amount you can apply is RM1,000 and the maximum amount is subject to eligibility. You can view the maximum amount of Cash Instalment Plan on the HSBC Malaysia Mobile Banking app. Please note that the Cash Instalment Plan application amount should be in multiples of RM100.

How long will it take for Cash Instalment Plan to get approved and when will the funds be disbursed?

Cash Instalment Plan application via HSBC Malaysia Mobile Banking app will be approved and processed immediately. We will transfer the money the next working day. Kindly check with your receiving bank to confirm the receipt of fund. For application via other channels, approval may take up to 5 working days.

How can I know the status of my application?

Once the Cash Instalment Plan is approved, an SMS notification will be sent to your registered HSBC/HSBC Amanah mobile number. Alternatively, you can also view the approved Cash Instalment Plan via HSBC Malaysia Mobile Banking app or via your credit card/-i statement.

How much do I have to pay on a monthly basis once the  Cash Instalment Plan is approved?

You can view the monthly instalment amount via HSBC Malaysia Mobile Banking app. Alternatively, you may refer to your credit card/-i statement for the required monthly instalment amount.

What happens if I fail to pay the required monthly instalment?

If you fail to pay the monthly instalment before the payment due date, finance charges/management fee will be levied on the outstanding amount.

Is there any early termination fee?

No, there is no early termination fee. However, if you wish to settle your Cash Instalment Plan before its expiry, you can chat with us on the HSBC Mobile Banking app (learn more at https://www.hsbc.com.my/contact/ or https://www.hsbcamanah.com.my/contact/) or call our contact center.

Will all my existing Cash Instalment Plan be displayed on the HSBC Malaysia Mobile Banking app?

Yes, you can view all your existing Cash Instalment Plan details such as the monthly instalment, interest rate, and tenure on the HSBC Malaysia Mobile Banking app.
