Extra support resources

If you need extra support to access banking or other services, due to a disability, medical condition or life event, this guide can help.

Let's work together to discover what works for you

Extra support for people with disabilities and medical conditions and their carers

Having a disability or health condition will bring changes to many aspects of your life. Being unable to access banking services shouldn't be one of them.

So that you can focus fully on your health, we offer easy ways to access banking services at HSBC and HSBC Amanah via online and mobile banking or dialing in to the Contact Centre.

For customers who are not able to manage their day-to-day banking activities because of intellectual incapacity, a family member or carer can be appointed as an authorised representative, to manage their banking on their behalf. The Authorisation of Representative to Operate Bank Account Form is available from the HSBC Forms page and HSBC Amanah Forms page.

Once the form is filled in, both the customer and their authorised representative must attend any of our branches to have it verified. For those who have mobility issues, the authorised representative can either call or visit any branch to seek advice on the next steps.

Accessible support during changes in life circumstances

You may need access to extra support and information when you're going through a major change in your life circumstances - for example, divorce, losing your job, the death of a loved one or having a baby.
