What is HSBC Secure Logon?

HSBC Secure Logon is our latest authentication feature that lets you access your online banking safely and quickly. Simply scan the QR code and match it with a unique 6-digit number using HSBC Malaysia Mobile Banking (HSBC Malaysia app).

To use this feature, please update your HSBC Malaysia app to the latest version, and you're good to go.

How HSBC Secure Logon works on your desktop browser

Here are some tips to ensure you’re logging on to the genuine HSBC Malaysia Online Banking website.

  1. Check to see that the 6-digit unique number displayed on your desktop/ mobile browser and HSBC Malaysia app are a match.
  2. Please make sure that you’ve downloaded the latest version of our app on your registered mobile devices.
  3. Avoid tapping on suspicious links or downloading apps that are not from verified developers or trusted sources.

Follow the instructions below and log on to HSBC Malaysia Online Banking in four easy steps.

Step 1

Enter your credentials to log on to HSBC Malaysia Online Banking.

Step 2

You’ll see a QR Code with a unique 6-digit number generated.

Step 3

Open your HSBC Malaysia app.

Step 4

Verify your log on details and the 6-digit number.
Then, scan the QR code using your registered mobile device.

How HSBC Secure Logon works on your registered mobile device

If you're logging on to HSBC Online Banking via your mobile device, follow the four steps below to log on.

Step 1

Open the mobile browser on your registered mobile device.
Enter your credentials to log on to HSBC Malaysia Online Banking.

Step 2

You’ll see a unique 6-digit number generated.

Step 3

Tap ‘Launch mobile app’.

Step 4

Verify your log on details on the browser and the 6-digit number displayed on your HSBC MY App. Then, select ‘Verify and continue’.
