New ways to log on and security upgrades
We’re rolling out safer ways to log on, as well as upgraded payment approvals. Setting up the HSBC Malaysia app is now simpler, with verification built in.
A new way to log on to HSBC Online Banking
You’ll soon have more ways to log on to HSBC Online Banking. Use your username, card number (debit or credit), or account number, plus your date of birth. These new logon features improve identification and verification, helping you spot the genuine HSBC site and adding extra protection to your account.
Faster mobile banking setup
Setting up mobile banking is now simpler and more secure. In the HSBC Malaysia app, you can verify your identity using your identity document (ID) and a selfie. This also makes it easier to set up the app on a new phone or reset your 6‑digit PIN later.
Upgraded Mobile Secure Key (MSK)
You can now approve or reject transactions in the HSBC Malaysia app – no need to enter a 6‑digit security code. Just open the app from the notification and tap to confirm.
