Learn about our loan and financing deferment programmes as well as other key financial support we offer if you think you may struggle to repay debts in the coming months.

Financial Management and Resilience Programme (Program Pengurusan & Ketahanan Kewangan, URUS)

Following the recent announcement by the Government of Malaysia on 13 October 2022, the Financial Management and Resilience Programme (Program Pengurusan & Ketahanan Kewangan, URUS) is now available for eligible B50 individual customers. The programme is open for applications from 15 November 2021 to 31 March 2022.

URUS is available to individual customers who meet the full eligibility criteria including the need to provide supporting documents. Under URUS, AKPK will also provide personalised financial plans that are developed holistically, taking into account the customer’s financial circumstances and ability to afford repayment of all their financing obligations. 

Customers are encouraged to understand the details of the financial plans options offered before application and be reminded to apply where they currently have performing facilities that are under existing repayment assistance. 

Section 1: HSBC Additional Deferment Programme 2/Payment  Reduction Programme 2 for mortgages/home financing and personal loans/financing accounts

We empathise with individuals and businesses who are going through economic hardship due to the Covid-19 pandemic. HSBC has supported our customers through many ups and downs, and our commitment remains unchanged.

Our refreshed financial assistance programmes are now available to assist our customers who are impacted by the COVID-19 situation and require further assistance in servicing their HSBC loans/financing.

Section 2: HSBC Relief Balance Conversion (RBC) Programme and RBC Deferment Programme for individual credit card customers

The RBC programme has ended on 31 December 2021. If you are experiencing payment difficulties or need further financial support, please reach out to our Web Chat agents from Monday till Friday except public holiday (9.00am - 9.00pm) by clicking the "Chat" icon on this page. Remember, if you are worried about making future payments, we will work with you to determine a suitable solution.

Section 3: HSBC Additional Deferment Programme 2.2 /Payment Reduction Programme 2.2 for Retail Business Banking (RBB) customers

The 6-month programme has ended on 31 December 2021. If you are experiencing payment difficulties or need further financial support, please call 03-8321 8866 between 9 a.m. to 9.30 p.m. (Monday to Sunday). Remember, if you are worried about making future payments, we will work with you to determine a suitable solution.

HSBC Targeted Assistance Programme

We empathise with individuals and businesses who are going through economic hardship due to the Covid-19 pandemic. HSBC has supported our customers through many ups and downs, and our commitment remains unchanged.

While the 6-month automatic deferment period has ended on 30 September 2020, in line with YAB Prime Minister's announcement on 29 July 2020, HSBC will be providing targeted assistance to those who need additional support after the 6-month automatic deferment and provide relief options to customers who are most affected.

HSBC 6-month Automatic Deferment Programme

The 6-month automatic deferment period has ended on 30 September 2020. If you are comfortable that your monthly payments are starting again, we have alternative payment options post the deferment period to help you save more on the total accrued interest/profit/lease rental payable.

Delay in delivery of physical statements

From 18 Mar 2020, delivery of credit card/-i and banking physical statements. Your current statements are available in digital format on both online and mobile banking.

Due to Covid-19 situation, we have temporarily extended the usage period for HSBC/HSBC Amanah Debit Cards/-i ("Debit Card/-i") that have expired.
